Chi-Town

I spent the last weekend in Chicago with my friend Sarah. We had such a great time. What didn't we do? Theater, Cubs game, great dinners, the spa and awesome deep dish pizza!!! This is such a great city. I can't wait to come back. Here are some pics from my trip. Met some great people (except one......if you see a guy that looks like Adam Sandler, kick him in the nuts and tell him he is a big douche!) We saw Billy Elliott which was wonderful. The kid was so talented. The Cubies lost but it was still a really fun experience. On Sunday we were off to the Bliss spa for a day of pampering. What a treat! To finish off the weekend, we had Chicago style pizza at Lou Malnati's. Thanks Sarah for such a great weekend. Can't wait to show you Cali one day.

Happy belated 4th of July!

Happy 4th everyone. I started to create this post on Monday but I seemed to have come down with something (I think it was the ever so popular stomach bug that our entire family has had.) Oh well, all better now. We spent the day at the pool and took some cute pictures. Wish I got more. Our original plan was to go to Folsom Lake and set up camp at one of the beaches. Well let's just say I was a bit naive with that idea. We took off before noon and all of the parking lots were full. It was a madhouse. Luckily the pool at the gym (sounds hokey but it is pretty nice) worked well. Got to swim, BBQ and hang out. All in all a good day. Happy Birthday America!

The kids are alright!

I am not sure why I named this post that but it is what came to mind. I have been telling Paul the last couple of weeks that I need to get a picture of Adrienne with Sam and Nelly. Especially the big guy (if you haven't seen him in a while, he is getting pretty old.........sigh.) Since Paul had munchkin next to Sam, I decided to grab my camera. I thought they were pretty cute but I cannot explain why same looks like the guy from Saw ( I really need to start using the red eye option on my camera.)
