I am exagerating of course.
So Adrienne has started doing something very strange in the last couple of days. All of you experienced parents out there would probably not bat an eyelash but as a fairly new parent, this freaks you out! She has decided that she likes to sleep on her belly. Not really all that unusual right? Now she has decided she likes this but here is the weird part...............She sleeps with her head facing straight down into the mattress! I kid you not, her face straight down into the mattress. She does have her little hands in there somewhere. That must be the only way she can breathe. When seeing this for the first time as a new Mom, you just about poop your pants. Is she breating? Is she alive!?!?!?! I flipped her over and she went right back to sleep. Later that day, she is in the same position again. So strange, it might take some time for the shock to wear off before I am comfortable with this one.
A little bit about a day in the life of Adrienne and Matthew.......oh and their parents too.

Birthday Dinner at Chicago Fire
Met with the gang at Chicago Fire Pizza for my big 3-2 B-Day. Must make a note.......................NEVER GO TO CHICAGO FIRE ON A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT WITH MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE. If you follow my advice, you will be a happy person and not have to wait an hour to sit down. We live and learn. We had a great time. The girls were great. Adrienne wanted to grab and eat Fiona's Pizza. All in good time my little chubby munchkin, all in good time.
Apple Blossom Trail Run
We did a great 5K walk this Saturday. Our first ever. Is was up in Apple Hill through the orchards and the vineyards. We had a lot of fun and got great exercise too. The Uppa Baby did as well as could be expected. As you can see from the pictures, it was not a smooth paved road. Oh yeah, never mind the embarassing photo of me, I only get so many family pics these days!

Happy Easter
Happy Easter to everyone. We had a nice day considering how cold it was up here. We went to a new restaurant in El Dorado Hills and had brunch. It was pretty good but not as good as last year. I guess I know where we will go next time. Adrienne was such a good girl, so content and quiet while we ate. It was pretty funny, she would not smile all day. Many people were coming up to her and wanting to get a smile. Nope, not going to happen. A little unusual for her. Still a fun day. Our water heater decided it wanted to quit so Paul had to spend the whole weekend fixing it (actually, it is Monday and he is still fixing it right now) good man! Here are some pics from the day, no big smiles. We are a little worried about Adrienne, Paul calls some of these pics her "Heil Hitler" pose. We'll just have to talk to her I guess, no Nazi's in this family! We need to work on getting a family pic for next year.

She hates rice cereal!
No I mean it, the little thing does not like it. We have been giving her rice cereal for about 25 days now twice a day. I thought, "well, she will like it eventually." No, nope, nada! Tears, spitting the whole shabang. We have been advised to wait to move onto veggies for another week or so. Fruits will not come for another month. Has anyone been there and have any tips? I don't want to move to fruit just yet, so I do not want to add any fruit. Other than that, I am all ears. Is this normal???????

Alabama / Key West
Hey Everyone,
Paul, Adrienne and I just got back from Alabama. We had fun seeing everyone (except Lem), we never look forward to seeing him ;-) Hah Hah.....he was working in P Cola the whole time. The trip was so worth it because we got to see the new addition to the family..........little Luke. He is so cute and Amy is doing a great job with him. Seeing that tiny little babe makes me want another one (no I am not kidding). Adrienne told me that she likes being the older cousin, she was the boss of Luke all week!
It was an exciting week folks, many great topics of conversation. If you entered Paul's parents house over the last week you would hear only the following................................. "When did he last eat? How much did she eat? Should I put him in the crib? What was her poop like? He peed on himself again. Why does she cry when she sees Papa? He peed on himself again." Oh and "He peed on himself again!" It was thrilling, too bad all of you missed it. :-)
We did enjoy getting together with the fam but there was one little trip that Paul and I had to take. We went to Key West for the weekend to see my friend get married. We almost didn't make it. My dear husband did not verify our flight before we left and sure enough, the departure time had changed. We missed our flight! There was no way that I was going to miss the wedding so we scrambled to get on another one. The story ends with us driving to Tampa to catch a flight into Key West that evening. For those of you who do not know Florida that well, Tampa was over 7 hrs away. Paul and I drove and drove and made our way to our next flight. I did forgive my dear husband, I can't stay mad at him for too long.
It was an awesome wedding! Great setting, great food, great music and a great couple. About 30 minutes before the ceremony was to start, a huge rain storm came in but quickly passed and they had a picture perfect day. We were so happy to be a part of it. Let me just say that a photo booth at a wedding is super fun!!!!!
We are all home now and I thought I would share some pictures from our journey.
